A pre-industrial desert village including a dwelling, the urban design of the city, its link with the traditional lifestyle, the effects of industrialization and an in depth look at a masterpiece – the Patwon ki Haveli, are some of the notable highlights of this film.

CHANDIGARH – Search for modernity: 29 minutes
Le Corbusier’s translation of Nehru’s Vision of India in the idiom of modern architecture, for the new capital of Indian Punjab has been revered and criticized ever since it was built in the 1950s and 1960s. This film is an introduction to the city and to its famous architectural landmarks in the Capitol complex such as the High court and the Assembly building.
